The Executive Management Team of Outland has over 100 years of combined experience working together. Outland has grown from a start-up business in 1985 to a company with more than 3,000 employees, a diverse client base, (Mining, Forestry, Oil/Gas, Utilities and Government) and operations from coast to coast. The Executive Team has consistently delivered the financial results to its shareholders every year since inception. Outland has forged several strategic supplier partnerships across the country to ensure we can meet our clients' requirements in terms of product quality and value wherever they are. Outland has also formed several First Nations and Inuit Partnerships across the country to ensure that the aboriginal people of a specific region participate in the business development and opportunities tied to a project in their area. Outland was a founding shareholder in a number of successful Alberta based companies including Red Rock Camps and Black Diamond Camps.
Doug Finamore – Executive Vice President
Doug has been with Outland since 1999, starting as a tree planter. He worked his way up in the organization, moving from Thunder Bay to Edmonton in 2007 to assume the position of Regional Manager. In this role Doug spearheaded the expansion of our camp and catering business, in particular taking a lead role in building the Saddlebrook camp which housed 1200 people displaced by the High River floods of 2013. In 2016 Doug was appointed Regional Director of Operations for Western Canada. In 2017 he moved back to Thunder Bay to assume his role. Doug earned his BSc. Ricky Boulanger, Vice President Sales, Quebec and Eastern Canada
Ricky has been with the Outland Group since 2001, becoming a shareholder that same year. Ricky's primary focus at Outland is Quebec operations, sales and new business development. Ricky has extensive first hand project management and construction experience overseeing successful installations and operations in Quebec, Nunavut and Labrador. Alex Luengo, Vice President Operations
Alex has been with the Outland group since 1999 and a member of the leadership team since 2007; he was a partner in the company prior to its sale. Alex started with the company as a tree planter eventually becoming our western Regional Manager and now Vice President of Operations. With over 20 years of industry experience, he is involved in all of Outlands’ lines of businesses, with a primary focus on ensuring operational excellence. Peter Cameron, Director Business Development
Peter returned to the Outland Group in January 2017. He was formerly an owner of Outland, having started as a tree planter in 1990. Peter's primary responsibility is Western Canadian Sales and Business Development. He has spent the last 25 years in remote worksite accommodation solutions, both in an operational and design capacity. Jennifer Morrison, Director of Operations - Central Canada
Jennifer began with Outland in 1997 as a tree planter. Following several years working in the reforestation line of business as a tree assessor, crew boss and supervisor, Jennifer went on to manage the Outland Youth Employment Program, fire crews and forest fire camps. In 2003, Jennifer became Regional Manager of the Ontario North West division, which includes reforestation and remote camps and services. Eric Chamberland, Director of Operations - Eastern Canada
Eric has been apart of the Outland team since 1992. After climbing the ranks in reforestation, from brushcuttng to tree deliverer, site supervisor to regional supervisor, Eric added a new string to his bow by taking up the challenge of catering manager in remote camps. In 2017, Eric became the Director of Operations for Quebec and eastern Canada. With over 25 years experience, Eric appreciates the importance of a leader to be involved in all levels of business. Michael Beaver, Director of Operations - Western Canada
Michael has been with the Outland team since mid 2017, however his prior experience assisted in preparing him for his current role with the organization. Michael has extensive experience in Hospitality Services and Business Management, including exposure to QSR, full service restaurants, hotels, franchises, catering, S&E, large capital projects, managing large scale events, disaster relief services and a large dose of contract services management. Michael holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Concordia University in Montreal and currently resides with his family in Edmonton, AB.
